Not Waving but Drowning

Objective: Create a visual representation of the poem "Not Waving But Drowning" by Stevie Smith.

We wanted to emphasize the loneliness of depression in order to highlight how people may seem fine on the outside, but you never know what's going on the inside. To do this, we created a world in which our antagonist is alone and condemned to silence. His only communication comes from his balloon, which is easily misinterpreted until it's too late.
